    Readathon 2025!

    19 October 2025 (by Katie Robinson (krobinson815))

A massive thank you to all the parents and everyone who generously supported our pupils for Readathon! We had a brilliant day dressed up as characters from a wide range of stories!

What an absolutely incredible Readathon day! We kicked off the fun with a special assembly where Mrs. Prescott read us the wonderful story, 'You Are Special' by Max Lucado. From there, each class then engaged in a wide range of story-based activities, whether it was reading stories, writing their own, going on treasure hunts or even making reading dens outdoors!

The costumes were spectacular! P1 became Storyland characters with princesses, pirates and Gruffalos and much more; P2 dressed for Bedtime Stories; P3 were brave Pirates; while P4 and P7 chose their Favourite Characters. P5 brought to life 'Gangsta Granny' and 'The Twits'; P6 were mighty Vikings; LSC1 focused on Scarecrows and Farmers; and LSC2 all transformed into Greg Heffley from 'Diary of a Wimpy Kid'.

A massive thank you to all the parents and everyone who generously donated and supported our pupils! Your contributions and encouragement made this event a massive success. The money raised will be used towards enhancing our reading resources such as buying new books or iPads to continue to encourage and foster a love of reading.

Thank you for helping us celebrate the joy of reading!
